WELCOME TO 2023!

WELCOME PPV WATCHMEN TO 2023 as "watchmen on the wall" for the Kingdom of God!!! I am so blessed and thankful to be on this journey with all of you. What a privilege and an honor to be intercessors, to stand on the wall and stand in the gap on behalf of others (Isaiah 62:6,7). We are His workmanship, created to do His good works as watchmen (Ephesians 2:10). We are beginning this year with a new form of communication via our blog. This blog will allow me to share information with you, but it will also allow you to communicate with each other via the comment section. Feel free to share prayer requests, praise reports, and words of encouragement with each other.

The scripture the Holy Spirit has given us to follow closely this year is Psalm 100:1-5 with an emphasis on verse 4. As watchmen we are to be mindful to always begin our prayer time with THANKSGIVING for God's GOODNESS...PRAISE for God's GREATNESS, in a posture of WORSHIP before Him because He is HOLY (bowing, kneeling, etc.) according to Psalm 100:4 and Psalm 95:6. This is to always be our posture as watchmen because we instructed to do so in the Word of God, and we are by the Spirit of God to be more diligent this year to be "doers of the Word" (James 1:22). So, Let's be more intentional this year to listen and obey, and those we intercede for will reap the fruit of our obedience to the Word of God (John 10:27).

Watchman's Word presented by journalingyourjourney.org

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." (Jeremiah 29:12)

Just like any other relationship, building our relationship with God is contingent upon communication. We have the privilege of communicating with God anytime and anywhere through prayer. Many can be intimidated by the word prayer, but as watchmen we know that prayer is simply the act of talking to God. Whether they are long, short, aloud, or silent our prayers matter to God. He longs to hear from us on a regular basis. Unfortunately, most of our prayer time can be focused on wants and needs for ourselves or others. Let's not forget to begin our prayers by offering thanksgiving for God's goodness and praise for His greatness. Let our prayers in 2023 go to the next level as we move past just talking to God about our wants and needs, to talking to Him from our hearts in a posture of worship.

Although God is more than willing and able to supply our needs (Philippians 4:19) and fulfill our desires (Psalm 37:4), He is also deserving of our praise and adoration for the things He has already done. Even if he does nothing else, we should remain firm in our belief that He is still good. And because of that goodness, He deserves the offering of our praises every time we enter the throne room. So, from now on when you pray, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name" (Psalm 100:4).

Watchman's Reflection (feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section)

  1. When you pray, how often do you give thanks and offer praise before you begin your requests?

  2. Do you pray honestly, openly, and freely to God?

  3. If anything, what would you change about your prayer style?

Pastors United

After a cruel attack on the life of a young man on the parking lot of Calvary Bible Church in Florissant, MO a committed group of pastors decided to come together on the 2nd Friday of every month to Pray and stand against the attacks of the enemy on our city, state, country, and world. We believe this monthly gathering is evidence of the prayers that have been going forth in out city to "tear down wickedness, raise up righteousness, and bring healing to our land." As believers we have the spiritual authority and faith filled prayer is a God ordained way for us to exercise that authority. In support of this prayer gathering please join us as "we pray heaven to earth" (Matthew 6:10).
